The first European Championship Show Dance Standard and Latin took place in Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic on Saturday.

European Championship Show Dance Standard had 11 couples participating. It was the same top three as in World Championship in Bratislava in September. Russian couple Dmitry Pleshkov - Anastasia Kulbeda won gold medals, Matej Stec - Elena Popova from Slovakia got silver, and Jacek Jeschke - Hanna Zudziewicz from Poland received bronze medals.

European Championship Show Dance Latin had 13 couples participating. Anton Aldaev - Natalia Polukhina from Russia, silver medalist couple of World Championship in September, reached the top podium and received the European Championship title. Artur Balandin - Anna Salita from Germany got silver and Vladislav Artiushkov - Sofia Vershinina from Russia secured bronze.

There was also an interesting European Cup Ten Dance in Usti nad Labem. World Championship Ten Dance is within a week, and the competition might have become a sort of prelude to Warsaw. Total of 19 couples were present. The winners were Mstislav Kazakov - Alena Kazakova from Russia, who repeated their win of 2017. Silver medals were presented to bronze medalists of 2017, Andrea Roccatti - Flaminia Iannone from Italy, and the Finnish couple Marius Toperczer Muresan - Claudia Ketonen received bronze.
