Second day in Antwerp and one of the highlights was the World Championship Sen I Sta. 43 couples out of 24 nations showed up in the first round.

The group of favorites for making the final in the Sen I Championship was rather big. So who would P1020141.JPG be the lucky ones dancing in this Championship Final. Italy, Germany, Russia and Belgium were represented in the end. Among the six couples you could find former World Champions and winners of great international comps. During the price presentation everybody could see how close happyness and disappointment are, bright eyes, emotions and frozen faces. After many years of hard work and taking all efforts Thassilo and Sabine Lax, Germany, could take their first World Champion Trophy. Congratulation ! Congratulation also to the Vice Champions Stefano Berardini and Stefania Martellini, Italy. They impressed the audience and the adjudicators with their musicality and perfect dancing. The decision between 1st and 2nd place was very close, the ranking in the different dances changing.

All this is very promising and garantuees interesting competitions in the future.
