It is again that time of the year: second half of August, summer peaking in the northern hemisphere ... And many in the DanceSport community planning on spending the better part of a week indoors. In the five halls named after composers, philosophers and poets which, together, make up the Liederhalle Culture and Congress Centre in Stuttgart, GER.

A WDSF Communications team will also be on loaction to report on some of the most important competitions staged there between 14 and 18 August as part of the German Open Championships. The 2012 WDSF European Youth Latin plus the two GrandSlam events will make for the mainstay of the "nearly real-time" coverage produced over the five days. But a number of other reports will also come out of the WDSF studio that is temporarily set up in Stuttgart.

5,205 couples have entered the competitions during the GOC so far. This tops last year's attendance record of 5,114 couples. The starting lists for all 36 events have only recently been published by the organisers. Access them here!
