The World Games 15/04/2014

Ron Froehlich © IWGA The International World Games Association (IWGA) held its General Meeting concurrently with the SportAccord Convention last week in Belek, TUR.

worlddancesport.org reported on the outcome of the elections to the IWGA executive for the term through 2018. Click here!

Former IWGA President Ron Froehlich (left), who stepped down after 22 years at the helm, was honoured by the meeting for his outstanding service to the association and to sports in general. The World DanceSport Federation, too, presented Froehlich with an award during a dinner in Belek.

Also from Belek, IWGA launched its own video channel under the tagline “Discover the World of Sports.” The Word Games Channel will be an additional media platform for the top events of the IWGA members.

The first events to be watched on channel.theworldgames.org will be the European Ski Orienteering Championship in Tyumen/Russia and the Waterskiing World Cup in Mandalah/Australia.
