WDSF grieves the loss of Mr. Rudolf Baumann, WDSF Honorary Life President 12/08/2021

It is with immeasurable sadness that the WDSF learned of the passing of its former President Mr. Rudolf Baumann.

On 9th of August 2021 Mr. Baumann passed at the age of 87 leaving his wife Rita Baumann and three children Sandra, Patrick and Oliver and their families.

Mr. Baumann served as President of the WDSF from 1998 till 2006 and was named WDSF Honorary Life President since then. He will be remembered as an inspirational warm leader whose vision, drive and matchless enthusiasm characterised his work on behalf of DanceSport worldwide.

“Rudolf will be greatly missed. Our sincere condolences go to Rita and the family on the loss of a true gentleman and visionary leader for the WDSF”, said Shawn Tay, President of the WDSF.
