Where Sport Meets 06/04/2017

Where Sport Meets Now going into Day 3 of SportAccord 2017 the WDSF delegation has already attended many meeting and many AGM's.

I started by arriving directly from the World Open in Brno to the IWGA (International World Games Association) AGM where our President Mr. Lukas Hinder is Treasurer.

The meeting was very clearly an update for the IFs (International Federations) as the next World Games will take place in Wroclawfrom 20 to 30 July. Here the WDSF will be present with 4 disciplines. Standard, Latin, Rock 'n' Roll and Salsa.
We look forward to participate in these games later in the year.

We also attended the AGMs from IMGA (International World Masters Games) ARISF (Association of Recognized Sports Federations), ASOIF (Association of Summer Olympic International Federations).

A great step for the Athletes' Commission was being able to create direct contact with the Chair of the IOC Athletes' Commission and IOC Executive Board Member Angela Ruggiero.

The WDSF delegation had a meeting with the organizing committee of the 2018 Buenos Aires YOG (Youth Olympic Games). They showed us detailed pictures of the park, village and venue. They were very excited about what the WDSF can bring to these games in 2018.

More from me on Friday.
Regards,
Ashli Williamson
