Youth Athletes! 19/03/2016

31 October - Riga, LAT © Roland We are happy to announce that the Athletes' Commission is having an election for a new representative of the Youth & Under 21 age groups, as successor of Paul Moldovan, ROU. The candidates for this position are (in alphabetical order of their surnames):

We will be conducting a combined election with ballot boxes at the 2016 WDSF European Youth Latin in Cambrils, ESP, on 26 March and parallel electronic voting from 19 March  up to and including 26 March 2016, 11:00 hours UTC/GMT.

As the WDSF is a body that is governed by Swiss law, all athletes who are 18 years of age or over are allowed to vote in this election, always providing they are dancing in the Youth or Under 21 age groups. 

To be able to cast their vote using the electronic option we strictly apply the following procedure:

  • Their request to cast a vote (1.) as well as their vote (2.) must be sent to the following e-mail address: 
  • Having received the request to vote, we will send them a ballot including further instructions on how to vote 
  • They must be dancing in the Youth or U-21 age groups; they must be 18 years or over from March 19, 2016
  • They may vote only once, either through the electronic elections or in person on 26 March in Cambrils
  • Proxy votes (voting on behalf on someone else) are not allowed 
  • The e-mail address they are using has to be a personal e-mail address ([email protected])
  • Their request to vote must be submitted before 26 March 11:00 hours GMT/UTC and their e-mail vote must be received before 26 March 14:00 hours GMT/UTC.
  • As Athletes' Commission we reserve the right to render a vote void should we suspect a vote not to be cast in line with these procedures
  • One of the two candidates will be chosen to represent the Youth & Under 21 age groups for a term of four years on the WDSF Athletes' Commission
