danceComp Wuppertal, GER 03/07/2011

2011 IDSF European Standard - ® Roland

While the title has changed, the hierarchy appears to remain the same. This year's danceComp is the first one with competitions under the new WDSF label. The WDSF International Open Standard saw the reigning World Champions Benedetto Ferruggia and Claudia Koehler, GER, repeat their wins in 2010 and 2009.

Winning all five dances in the final, Benedetto and Claudia were able to make it a perfect hat trick in the traditional competition held at the spectacular Town Hall. Second place went to Nikolay Darin and Natalia Seredina from Russia, followed by the Polish couple Sergiu Rusu and Dorota Makar. 140 couples from 16 nations had entered the competition.
