That's Him!

Annette and Simone - never change a winning Team !

How did you get in contact with Dancesport ?Segatori_Sudol

Simone was challenged by his uncle as a child who woke his interest in dancing by saying he could never be better than him. Annette played very successful tennis but unfortunately or maybe fortunately her spine got a deformation so a doctor advised her to visit some dance class in order to correct her posture.

What is the fascination that you are still involved in Dancesport ?

The challenge of improvement , the enjoyment of dancing together to wonderful music.

What is your aim in Dancesport ?

To get the most out of our potential and to be able to show it while we still compete, to leave an image of ourselves in the dance world and to become successful teachers.

Is there something in Dancesport nowadays what you are worried about ?

Many are worried about new things. Actually we prefer to be surprised instead of being worried. There are always two sides good and bad of everything in the world. It depends which one you wanna look at. For Dancesport it’s necessary that couples keep enjoying what they do.

How long are you dancing ?

We have danced together for 7 years. Annette is dancing now for 20 and Simone for 19 years.

What is your favorite dance ?

We both like very much Slow Fox, although it can change depending on the mood we have on the day and the music.

Who is your main trainer ?

Our main teachers are William Pino & Alessandra Bucciarelli and we had the big fortune to be closed students of the great teacher Oliver Wessel – Therhorn.

Where do you mainly live ?

We keep travelling a lot but try to spent half of our time in italy and half in germany. But of course this is not always possible so we have to be flexible and adapt to the situation.

Do you have time to meet friends ?

Most of our friends fortunately are part of the dance world so we have the possibility to meet them nearly every weekend somewhere else in the world.

 Your education, job :

Annette did 2 years of military sport company after graduating with the Abitur from highschool . She started to do a distance learning university in economics but the free time is very restricted and we dedicate every minute for our dancing now. Simone finished artistic highschool leading to architecture university.

What are you going to do if there is - completely unexpected -  a free day for you ?

Of course the first thing in mind is to relax but because it’s very unusual to have free time we straight away use it for something else we love to do which is definitely for Simone Photography and for Annette spending time with her family, read, sew and play with her dog  ;-)

Do you have any hobbies  beside dancing ?

We love to get some new inspirations from different kind of arts. So we enjoy it to go to musicals , concerts and do other type of dancing like argentine tango.

Do you have other talents which nobody knows so far ?

Simone used to be a salsa teacher before so he enjoys it a lot. Annette sometimes tries to realize some of her fashion ideas by sewing something.

Which kind of movie could you motivate to go to the cinema ?

We definitely like thrillers, funny movies that give you a nice mood or sport movies that inspire you to go back to practice even harder.

Imagine you are on a lonley island. What are the 3 most important things you would take with you or you cannot imagine to live without ?

Family/each other, good food, music

What are you most proud of ?

We’re proud that we try to achieve our goals with our own strength.

Which of your dreams would you like most to come true ?

To become a champion that is remembered for many years for outstanding dancing.

What are your targets fort he next World Championship ?

The main goal is always to win this is the main reason why we compete. But it’s not only important to win in the judges eye but to touch as many people as possible and draw them to our side.

If you meet a person you don`t know, what hits your eyes ?

The aura that is produced by him/her, the mood and facial expression.

How do you cope with stress and bad mood ?

Stress is part of our life as many dancers already experienced. So this is nothing new. Regarding the moods you need to develop a huge amount of patience and you also have to remind yourself that there are worse things happening in the world. We should appreciate what we have.

What are your personal strengths ?

The constellation of our partnership is definitely helping because we cover different areas. We have very different personalities which complete us as a couple. We are like mind and body. None of these two parts can work without the other. For sure what people say is that we are one of the few couples that combine performance with elegance.

What is your motto in life ?

You need only three things to be happy in life :

-Something to do

-Something to dream

-Someone to Love

And never change a winning team !

That's Her!

Annette and Simone - never change a winning Team !
