New PD Presidium 17/06/2013

WDSF PD Presidium @ Heidi Goetz The Annual General Meeting of the Professional Division preceded that of the World DanceSport Federation proper. It was held on Saturday 15 June at the Marriott Shanghai Luwan. The meeting room was packed to capacity since elections of the new PD Presidium as well as a number of other important issues were on the agenda.

Discussions regarding the motion to the WDSF (proper) AGM to establish new Supplementary PD Rules cleared the way for the motion to pass on 16 June.

The elections of the Professional Division Presidium were hotly contested. In the final tally of the ballots, the following Members were elected:

  • Verena Sulek, SLO
  • Carlos Freitag, ESP
  • Alexandr Melnikov, RUS,
  • Hubert de Maesschalck, BEL
  • Martin Pastor, GER
  • Su Tu Ok, KOR
  • Shigemitsu Tanabe, JPN

In their first meeting, the seven Members resolved to postpone the assignment of charges within the Presidium until a later date.
