18/04/2018 read more ...124 Masters - mature athletes and known as Seniors in DanceSport - took part in the 2011 European Masters Games held through Tuesday, 20 September, in Lignano, ITA.
Maybe the total number of entries was somewhat lower than expected by WDSF, but couples came from as far as Australia for the privilege to compete in the first ever Masters Games with DanceSport on the programme.

To get an idea of the scope of the Masters Games, why not watch the daily highlight of 18 September featuring sports as different as Beach Volleyball ... and DanceSport (at the end of the video)? And one only needs to imagine the World Masters Games Turin 2013, with even more sports and as many as 15,000 athletes competing.
