News from the IDSF Presidium 01/09/2009

Ladies and Gentlemen,

AvatarThe so-called "2009 WDC Amateur League Open Amateur World Championships" scheduled to be held at Paris, France on December 4-6, 2009, was not granted by IDSF and was not registered with nor approved by the IDSF Member for France, FFD / CNDS.

Accordingly, the IDSF Presidium can take action against any athlete, adjudicator or other official, person or body associated with IDSF or an IDSF Member, who have participated in those competitions/events in any way, without any further notice to any of them, according to the applicable IDSF Rules and Regulations.

May I remind you  and point out the fact, that the announcement of this unregistered event has been published since October 7, 2009 permanently on the IDSF Website, under UNREGISTERED EVENTS.

IDSF has taken the following decision:

All IDSF registered athletes and IDSF Licensed Adjudicators who have participated in the above mentioned event, get a penalty of 6 months of no participation in IDSF competitions.

The couple Lenny Gouwerok and Laura Zmajlovicova (Netherlands) get a penalty of 12 months of no participation in IDSF competitions, on the reason of a case of recurrence.

In the event of any sanctions imposed by IDSF upon any participating athlete, adjudicator or other official, person or body associated with IDSF or an IDSF Member, IDSF will refuse to pay any expenses or other costs which might arise due to the sanction, neither in relation to these specific events nor in relation to any future IDSF event.

Best regards,

Heinz Spaeker, IDSF Sports Director
