A full-blown broadcast production covers the decisive stages of today’s WDSF PD Super GrandPrix Standard in Stuttgart, GER. A 20-person crew will be delivering the spectacular images to the world through WDSF’s newly established video-on-demand service DanceSport Total Plus. The 90-minute programme should become available from Wednesday 13 August.

Marco Sietas © Roland Barely recovered from the three days of the Adjudicators' Congress here in Stuttgart, WDSF Sports Director Marco Sietas announces the next fixtures in his busy schedule.

The draw of the countries where Adjudicators officiating at next year's World and European Championships and Cups will come from is held publicly at the Meeting Point of the Liederhalle on Wednesday 13 August at 10:00 CEST.

Also on Wednesday 13 August, Marco Sietas will make himself available to meet with the athletes competing at the 2014 German Open Championship in Stuttgart. Representatives of the WDSF Athletes' Commission will also be present on the occasion. Time is 11:00 CEST and place the Maritim Hall at the Maritim Hotel.

A second meeting is held on Friday 15 August from 16:30 CEST also in the Maritin Hall.

Then go on and watch the semi-final and final through the video-on-demand service right here.

Adjudicators' Congress | Day Three 11/08/2014

Peter Maxwell On the third and final day of the 2014 Adjudicators' Congress here in Stuttgart, GER, the lecturers brought down the house time and again with their insightful presentations on Judging System 2.1 as it pertains to Latin.

Natasa Ambroz, Lene James and Anna Bezikova each presented their views on how to score the particular Component that DanceSport Academy supremo Shawn Tay had assigned to them. (Shawn underwent hip surgery very recently and was not able to be in Stuttgart himself. Our personal "get well soon" wishes reach him together with the request that an audio-visual technician be contracted for future congresses of this size and importance.)

DanceSport legend Peter Maxwell wrapped up the three-day multi-disciplinary Congress with his lecture on scoring Choreography and Presentation under Judging System 2.1. And with the most appropriate observation that brought it all to the point ... All of it delivered in true Maxwell-style!

"The integrity and the success of DanceSport depend on YOU," Peter told the 250+ adjudicators in closing his lecture.

Adjudicators' Congress | Day Two 11/08/2014

Day 2 of the Adjudicators' Congress in Stuttgart saw an impressive line-up of lecturers talking about the use of Judging System 2.1 in Standard. 250+ adjudicators attended. 

Today the Congress continues with lectures on Judging System 2.1 in Latin. The Riders' Hall of the Maritim Hotel will again be packed.

And in the late afternoon the participants are taking the threaded GENERAL KNOWLEDGE test ... Sweaty palms!
