Over the coming weeks, IDSF Communications will move the content from its "Live from ..." blogs (currently WordPress) to worddancesport.org. Including all videos, polls, comments: everything! The blog rolls will then be archived here under the name of the championship. What was "Live from Wetzlar" turns into "2010 IDSF World Standard" and will remain on this site forever! Let's keep history alive!
The "Live from ..." title will forthwith be reserved for active blogs only. All current WordPress blogs can still be accessed >> HERE!
This time it is the Round 2 Quickstep!

The vote is not yet conclusive, but we opted for another low-res clip with the first impressions from the floor in Wetzlar: Slow Waltz!
It is once more a matter of bandwidth that keeps these video files slightly below par for you to enjoy them properly. That leads to the question: “What do you prefer?” Watching the clips ASAP heavily compressed or somewhat delayed but in higher resolution? For questions such as this one, we resort to a poll. Majority wins!
Here is a 3-minute interview with the defending World Champions, Benedetto Ferruggia and Claudia Koehler, ahead of the 2010 IDSF World DanceSport Championship Standard in Wetzlar, GER. We apologise for the poor quality of this video file. We don’t know why the MP4 does not reproduce in higher quality. It was shot in HD video. Technology!
The IDSF Communications team is keenly aware that this blog is followed from around the world. Even if we have started somewhat behind schedule, you will definitely get the latest scoop on what is happening on the floor in Wetzlar right here. As of this moment, we seem to have more than 3,000 followers logged in. Thanks!
We are particularly challenged in the production of “nearly real-time” coverage on this World Standard here in Germany. The German television network ARD will air a 45-minute programme on the championship in Wetzlar tomorrow, 28 November, from 13:45. The organisers have asked us to block all the dance videos our team is producing right now in Germany until after this programme has aired. While we are experienced in handling just about everything regarding our DanceSport Total account on YouTube, we have never done that before.
