Final coming next!
We have mentioned before that a considerable backlog of raw videos on a number of competitions is still awaiting processing, edit and upload. We have the World Youth Latin of Saturday 1 October: of that we will put the emphasis on semi-final and final, uploading both in HD to DanceSport Total and here. We have the Grand Slam Latin Ostrava of Sunday 2 October. We will re-edit the live streams of the semi-final and final, and we will eventually upload both to DanceSport Total as well as to this blog. We also have the Grand Slam Standard St Petersburg on 1 and 2 October. Summary coverage on this event wil also be featured prominently right here - the Latin blog - and on DST. And last but not least, we have the footage of 2011 World Freestyle Standard that we still owe you. It will also go up here in due time - thanks for reminding us!
While we are trying to get all this done by the end of the week, we will keep the Grand Slam Latin Ostrava blog on the homepage.
You should really return to this site very often!

The "Live from Ostrava" blogs on the World Youth Latin and the Grand Slam Latin remain active for a few more days. A considerable number of HD videos of both competitions will get uploaded to the respective blog.
Keeping the blogs open should also allow the site visitors to comment on the posts here. Interactivity is still something that can be improved on. While we get feedback, opinions and other comments ("What's the music playing now?") through our YouTube channel DanceSport Total, we hardly hear from you here. All you would have to do is register yourself (above the top menu, on the right) and you could start - or particpate in - a thread of comments on every potst.
One of the comments we have received on the World Youth blog we simply must pass on to you here too. A photographer by the name of Tomas Bohdal has sent us a link to his blog (pictured above) where he has put up superb pictures of the action at the CEZ Arena on 1 October.
Prof Dr Helmut Roland has just returned from his trip to the city of Tsars, St Petersburg, and the first thing he does from his home in Germany is forward some of the pictures he took during the Grand Slam Standard that was held there on 1 and 2 October. While he was taking pictures, his wife was operating the recently purchased Sony HD camera. She did so not only as an expert videographer, but als as an experienced trainer in DanceSport. The clip on the Grand Slam quarterfinal will get uploaded here and on DanceSport Total shortly. The pictures are already in our Gallery. And two are right here ... Benedetto Ferruggia - Claudia Koehler, GER, who placed first, as well as the (earthbound for a change) brother-sister team Konovaltsev, RUS, who were the acclaimed runners-up in St Petersburg.
Our final post for tonight: an interview with Andrey Zaytsev - Anna Kuzminskaya, RUS, after their win at the 2011 WDSF Grand Slam Latin in Ostrava, CZE.
This should wrap it up for what's left of the night. Thanks for following and return tomorrow for more! Good night!
