Two More! 21/05/2011

Two additional couples from Russia have just accreddited for the IDSF PD World Championship. And we're only 45 minutes away from round one. Pavel Alexeersky - Ekatarina Zhupleva and Mikhail Koloniets - Alexandra Pakhmukova, both Russia, are the most recent additions to a growing field of participants.

From Court To Floor ... 21/05/2011

Sparta Luxembourg In the title, we are not alluding to former International Monetary Fund leader Strauss-Kahn's transfer from jail to a Manhattan apartment, we only point out that a league play-off basketball game was played at the Atert Centre last night. After midnight the organisers started to completely change the configuration of the modern venue. Tables around the floor, additional lighting, new sponsor signage ... Well, not all of it. Last night's sponsors are still on the floor.

DSFL Anniversary - IDSF PD World Latin 17/05/2011

IDSF PD World Latin On Saturday 21 May, the DanceSport Federation Luxembourg celebrates its 50th Anniversary with a spectacular DanceSport Festival in Bertrange, just a few kilometers west of Luxembourg City. The highlight of the festival will be the IDSF PD World DanceSport Championship Latin.

The first World Latin to be held under the auspices of the newly established IDSF PD, it brings upwards of 30 top couples to the Atert Sports Centre. Among them Alexey Silde and Anna Firstova, RUS, who have turned pro at the beginning of the year!

Another couple standing poised to excel on Saturday: Guy Rosen and Anastasija Gorbachenko, the Professional Latin Champions of Luxembourg (left).

IDSF Communications will report on how they and the other couples fare through this blog. The blogging starts with interviews of some of the couples in Luxembourg from late Friday, early Saturday, and gets into full swing with the first round at 15:30 CEST.

IDSF Communications and ATA Productions produced comprehensive coverage on last year's Professional World Latin in Sitges, Spain, already. Check it out, all 52 minutes of it!
