Who's Here ...

Helsinki, FIN - 8 March 2015 Let's start off with the traditional powerhouses in European DanceSport. Germany is represented by Pavel Pasechnik - Marta Arndt and Timur Imametdinov - Nina Bezzubova, the first and second runners-up behind Balan - Moshenska in the recent National Championship in Mülheim. Armen Tsaturyan - Svetlana Gudyno and Yury Simachev - Anastasia Klokotova dance for Russia. They came in first and third, respectively, at their Nationals a few weeks ago. For the Italian entries we'll have to wait until a starting list becomes available: Langella - Bondareva are not here for the reasons described in the post below; Mariniello - Casini can no longer compete because Vincenzo is banned after testing positive at the Italian Nationals.

All other contenders for the title should be here: Gabriele Goffredo - Anna Matus, MDA, Charles-Guillaume Schmitt - Elena Salikhova, FRA, Umberto Gaudino - Louise Heise, DEN, Edgar Marcos Borjas - Alina Nowak, ESP, Paul Moldovan Cristina Tatar ... You'll be able to enjoy most of them in the promotional reel that was produced by WDSF Communications for this European Latin in Aarhus.

The names of the dancers above are published here because these couples have excelled in recent international Latin competition. They are what is commonly referred to as "favourites" in most of the other sports. All names are in the public domain as they appear in the top 10 and 20 of the World Ranking. The WDSF Communications team is not suggesting in any way to anyone that they should be dancing in the decisive stages of tomorrow's championship. Just for the avoidance of any doubt!
