These thrilling additions embody the spirit of innovation and artistic creativity that the Federation strives to promote across all DanceSport levels.
It is worth noting that these disciplines have already gained immense popularity in some of our National Member Bodies. We firmly believe that the introduction of Solo, Synchro, and Choreographic disciplines will not only resonate with the interests of the existing DanceSport community but also pave the way for more successful and sustainable events around the world. By embracing these disciplines, our National Member Bodies and organisers are presented with a wide range of opportunities to enhance their offerings and cultivate greater engagement within DanceSport.
As part of a special project initiated by the Managing Committee, we have crafted comprehensive competition rules to govern these exciting new disciplines: Solo, Synchro, and Choreographic. The full set of regulations is available on the WDSF website, providing all necessary guidance for athletes, judges, and organisers alike in these new disciplines.
To celebrate this milestone and offer a dynamic insight into these new disciplines, we have created a special video that showcases the essence of Solo, Synchro, and Choreographic competitions. Don’t miss this vibrant visual journey; the video is now live on our website and social media channels.
Understanding the passion and commitment of our athletes, the World DanceSport Federation is pleased to introduce a special reduced fee for athletes' licences in these new disciplines. For only 10 CHF per year, athletes can avail themselves of this unique opportunity and be part of the groundbreaking evolution in DanceSport.
In alignment with the newly introduced disciplines, judges with Standard and Latin C, B, A licences will be able to officiate at these events according to the level of the event without any additional fee. To help organisers in recovering from the recent geopolitical, financial, and COVID-related crises, special rates for granting fees have been instituted, underscoring our commitment to support and nurture the DanceSport community.
