The 2026 WDSF World Championships Caribbean Dances are officially approaching, taking place from 9 to 12 October 2026 at VB Spaces Alicante. Organised by the CBE Fever Dance Alicante club in collaboration with the Federación Española de Baile Deportivo (FEBD) and the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), this major gathering turns Alicante into a key destination for international DanceSport during the October bank holiday weekend.

Athlete registrations are currently open, and for those wanting to experience the energy live from the audience, tickets are now available through the event's official platform.

A Historic Programme: 21 World Championship Titles

This edition features an expanded official programme with nine new World Championship titles, raising the total count to twenty-one across Salsa and Bachata disciplines:

· Adult Couples World Championships (3 Titles): WDSF World Championship Salsa On One Adult, Salsa On Two Adult, and Bachata Adult.

· Shine Duo Female World Championships (4 Titles): Salsa and Bachata Shine Duo Female Adult & Junior.

· Senior Female Solo World Championships (2 Titles): Salsa and Bachata Shine Solo Female Senior.

Plus twelve previously established Solo Shine categories across Adult, Youth, and Junior athletes, alongside WDSF Open Juvenile Solo Shine categories. You can check here all the competitions.

Four Days of Competition

The schedule spans four action-packed days at VB Spaces Alicante:

Friday, 9 October: WDSF Open Standard Senior IV & V, Juvenile Solo Shine (Salsa & Bachata), and Adult World Championships for Salsa & Bachata Shine Solo (Female & Male).

Saturday, 10 October: WDSF Open Standard Senior III, Rising Stars, Latin Youth & Junior events, WDSF World Cup Solo Latin Female Adult, and Youth World Championships for Salsa & Bachata Shine.

Sunday, 11 October: WDSF World Championships in Salsa On One, Salsa On Two, and Bachata Adult Couples, alongside Junior II Shine events and various WDSF Opens in Standard and Latin.

Monday, 12 October: WDSF World Championships in Salsa and Bachata Shine Duo Female (Adult & Junior) and Senior Female Solo categories, plus the Spanish Championships in Choreographic Dance.
