Mallorca Prepares to Make History as Calvià Hosts the 2026 WDSF World Championship Latin Adult

For the first time in history, Spain is set to host the most prestigious event in international Latin DanceSport. From 20–22 November 2026, the striking Palau d’Esports Melani Costa in the scenic municipality of Calvià, Mallorca, will welcome the global DanceSport movement for the 2026 WDSF World Championship Latin Adult.

As anticipation builds across the collective, the island is solidifying its status as a premier international hub for DanceSport competition, promising an unforgettable weekend.

A Historic Moment for Spanish DanceSport

Bringing a Latin World Championship to Spanish soil marks a monumental milestone for the Federación Española de Baile Deportivo and sports fans alike. Adding immense home-soil excitement to the billing, one of the world's leading Latin couples, Guillem Pascual and Diandra Aniella, will take to the floor to contend for the ultimate world title in front of a home crowd, a moment destined to electrify the arena.

Co-organisers Jordi Fábrega and Valeri Ivanov share their vision for this landmark edition:

Alongside the headline World Championship, the three-day festival features a comprehensive programme of international Open and Rising Star categories:

Friday, 20 November: WDSF Open Standard (Senior II, III, IV, V & Rising Stars), Open Latin Rising Stars, and Open PD Latin Adult.
Saturday, 21 November: WDSF World Open Standard Adult, Open Standard Youth, Open Solo Latin Female (Adult, Youth, Junior I & II), and the flagship WDSF World Championship Latin Adult.
Sunday, 22 November: WDSF International Open Latin Adult, Open Standard Under 21, Open Latin Youth & Under 21, Open Latin Senior II & III, and Open PD Standard Adult.
