License Exam: A Crucial Step for Adjudicators

The exam for the adjudicator license was conducted on 29 September 2025, exclusively for candidates who had met the entry requirements and attended the Congress. This process is essential to ensure that judges are properly trained and up to date with WDSF regulations and standards, safeguarding the integrity and quality of Caribbean DanceSport competitions.

Diversity of Participants: Reflecting Growing Global Interest

The involvement of international participation highlights the growing international interest in Caribbean DanceSport. Notably, the strong representation from Turkey foreshadows the prominence of this discipline at the WDSF World Caribbean Championship in Istanbul next December 2025.

Gender Balance: A Shift in Trends

In this edition of the Congress, there was a slightly higher participation of men than women, which contrasts with the usual trend in Caribbean competitions where women traditionally predominate. This is worth highlighting, as it is a discipline traditionally dominated by women, and the strong male presence demonstrates that this DanceSport discipline is increasingly attracting enthusiasts of all genders.

This development highlights the importance of continuing to foster gender balance and ensuring equity and inclusion at every level of DanceSport.

Looking Ahead: Preparing for the World Championship in Istanbul

The Congress and exams not only strengthen the professional structure of Caribbean DanceSport but also serve as a platform for preparing judges and participants for the World Championships. WDSF continues to foster excellence, integrity, and global unity in DanceSport, consolidating the Caribbean as a key region in this vibrant sport.
