The venue’s design features a sleek black stage accented with red, yellow, and blue, reflecting Romania’s national colors, while live music enhances the atmosphere, creating a truly immersive experience for both dancers and spectators.
Sibiu, one of Europe’s most beautiful cities and a former European Capital of Culture, offers participants and guests a unique blend of medieval charm and modern elegance. World-Class Competition
This year, the Grand Prix event is set to welcome dancers from across the globe, including Austria, Canada, China, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, and the United States.
The highlight of the weekend will be the WDSF World Championship Adult Standard, the premier competition of the Grand Prix, featuring 70 of the world’s top couples competing for the prestigious title. Adding to the event’s prestige, Casa Musica will be joining once again as the official music sponsor of the World Championship, providing the musical excellence that will accompany each performance on the dance floor.
Fans worldwide can follow every step from the Quarterfinals through the Final on the Olympic Channel , while DanceSport enthusiasts can also watch the entire event live on the WDSF website . This competition promises to be the most anticipated event of the weekend.
In addition to the Adult Standard, dancers from 44 countries will compete across the other major WDSF World Championships , including:
- 57 couples in WDSF World Championship Junior II Latin
- 14 couples in WDSF PD World Championship Ten Dance
Adding another layer of excitement, the DSE Team Challenge Cup will see 24 couples from Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Slovakia, Spain, and Hungary competing in a dynamic team-format event that brings national pride to the dance floor.
Additionally, 120 world-class adjudicators and officials from 34 countries will ensure a high standard of judging and event management.
The competition is further enriched by a live orchestra and carefully curated show moments, ensuring an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

The Transylvanian Grand Prix is organized by Romanian DanceSport Federation (FRDS) in partnership with the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF).
