One Month to Go: Novi Sad Prepares for the 2026 WDSF European Championships in Stage and Disco Dance
With just one month remaining until the start of the 2026 WDSF European Championships in Stage and Disco Dance, excitement is rapidly building across the European DanceSport community. From 13 to 17 May 2026, the city of Novi Sad in Serbia will host one of the largest and most diverse DanceSport events on the continent at the SPENS – Sports and Business Center Vojvodina.
Organized under the umbrella of the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), in cooperation with the Serbian DanceSport Federation, the championships are expected to welcome around 1,500 participants from across Europe. Athletes, coaches, officials, and supporters will gather in Novi Sad for five days of competition that combine sport, artistry, and high-level performance.
A Full European Championship Program
The competition will open on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, with a packed schedule dedicated primarily to Disco Dance, alongside Open events in Modern & Contemporary, Jazz Dance, and Show Dance Stage. The day will feature a wide range of categories, including Solo, Duo, and Team formats across Junior, Youth, and Adult athletes.
In Disco Dance, European Championship titles will be contested in Small and Large Team formats for both Junior and Adult categories, as well as Solo and Duo events across multiple age groups (Junior I, Junior II, Youth, and Adult). The day will also include Acrobatic Disco Dance Solo competitions, highlighting the technical and expressive range of the discipline.
Alongside the European title events, the Open competitions in Modern & Contemporary Dance, Jazz Dance, and Show Dance Stage will bring together Juvenile and Junior athletes in Small, Large, and Mega Team formats, as well as Solo Female and Duo categories, marking a strong opening day with a high volume of performances across all stages.

Registration Open and High Participation Expected
Registrations for the event are open. With the deadline approaching, final entries are being processed as teams complete their preparations for the event.
The championships are expected to attract approximately 1,500 athletes, making Novi Sad one of the key European DanceSport destinations in 2026. Including coaches, officials, and accompanying supporters, the event will bring thousands of visitors to the city over the competition week.
