STUTTGART, GERMANY – The World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has officially signed a major organiser contract securing Stuttgart as the host city for the prestigious WDSF DanceSport GrandSlam Series across both the 2026 and 2027 seasons.

This highly anticipated agreement, concluded with the Deutscher Tanzsportverband e.V. (DTV), the German Open Championships GmbH (GOC), and Tanz Event Management GmbH, reaffirms Stuttgart’s long-standing position as the beating heart of the international DanceSport circuit. Far from a new destination, the city boasts a legendary heritage, with the German Open Championships universally recognised for decades as one of the most established, respected, and glamorous events in global sports history.

The Peak of Elite Competition

The iconic Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Liederhalle will once again transform into a world-class arena. Across the 2026 and 2027 seasons, the venue will host a thrilling line-up of five competitions per discipline each year, featuring both the Standard and Latin categories. As the absolute pinnacle of competitive DanceSport, the series brings together the world’s most elite couples, blending jaw-dropping technical excellence with breathtaking artistic expression.

Reflecting on this historic partnership, Mr Wilfried Scheible, CEO of the German Open Championships (GOC), stated:
