A celebration of diversity in dance

The Championships will feature a wide range of DanceSport disciplines. What makes this event special in terms of variety and performance?

The diversity of disciplines is what gives this Championship its unique character. Each style brings a different form of expression, from high-energy performances to deeply emotional storytelling. This creates a rich and dynamic program that highlights both athletic excellence and artistic creativity, offering something truly inspiring for audiences and participants alike.

What can athletes and teams expect from the venue at SPENS Arena and the overall event experience?

Athletes and teams can expect a professional, well-equipped venue that supports high-level performance. At the same time, we are placing great emphasis on creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere, where participants feel comfortable, motivated, and valued. Our goal is to ensure that the entire experience, both on and off the floor, is memorable.

Behind the scenes of a major championship

Hosting such a large championship is a major challenge. What are some of the biggest logistical aspects your team has been managing?

There are many complex elements involved, from scheduling and coordination of competitions to accommodation, transportation, and technical production. Every detail matters. Our team has been working continuously to ensure that all aspects come together seamlessly, allowing the event to run smoothly for everyone involved.

How has the local community and the City of Novi Sad supported the event preparations?

The support from the City of Novi Sad and the local community has been invaluable. Their openness and cooperation have played an important role in bringing this event to life. It truly feels like a collective effort, and that kind of support gives additional meaning to everything we are doing.

For those who may be attending a WDSF Stage & Disco Dance Championship for the first time, what should they look forward to most?

They can look forward to an incredible combination of sport and art. The level of performance is outstanding, but what makes it truly special is the atmosphere, the passion, the energy, and the connection between performers and audience. It’s an experience that stays with you.

Looking beyond the competition itself, what legacy do you hope this Championship will leave for DanceSport in Serbia and across Europe?

I hope this Championship will inspire the next generation of dancers and further strengthen the development of DanceSport in Serbia. At the same time, it is an opportunity to build stronger international connections and contribute to the continued growth of the DanceSport community across Europe.
