GOC 2025 open youth finalist 1 Stuttgart, Germany – August 20, 2025 – The 37th edition of the German Open Championships (GOC), celebrated for the 20th time in Stuttgart, continued today once again transforming the city into the epicenter of DanceSport in the world. With more than 3,500 entries across the program, the event confirms its status as one of the most prestigious and vibrant festivals of the year.

Adding to its unique atmosphere, this edition also marks the return of live music after several years of absence: the renowned Boris Myagkov and his band are accompanying the athletes daily in the Beethovensaal, filling the venue with energy and elevating the experience for both dancers and spectators. The second day maintained the intensity, with packed halls, outstanding performances, and the promise of even greater highlights in the days ahead.

WDSF Open Senior III Standard

Germany’s Gert Faustmann and Alexandra Kley claimed a resounding victory in front of the home crowd. Italy’s Vittorio Bramati and Silvia Martorelli secured silver, while another German pair, Ingo Bauer and Sandra Fuersattel, danced their way to third.

Kazakhstan’s Maxim Zhilenkov and Alua Kargabaeva shone brightest in the Rising Stars Standard, taking first place ahead of Lithuania’s Edvardas Masaro and Anastasija Pavsukova. Germany’s Dmytrii Forostianov and Helene Novalee Tilgert delighted local fans with a podium finish in third.

Poland had a strong presence in the Junior II Standard final, with Tymoteusz Korczyk and Olga Stachowiak securing gold and compatriots Jan Szewczyk and Maja Bartkiewicz completing the podium in third. Moldova’s Stefan Mantu and Emiliana Procopciuc earned the silver medal.

Spain celebrated gold through Ruben Viciana Lopez and Eva Moya, delivering a powerful performance that secured them first place. Germany’s Alexander and Marina Engel danced their way to second, while Portugal’s Pedro Fernandes and Susana Queiros claimed the bronze medal.

  • Junior I Solo Latin Female: Italy’s Francesca Monocchio topped the podium, followed by Turkey’s Aylin Aydin in second and China’s Zhao Chenyi in third.

WDSF PD Master Class II Standard

Italy’s Robert Scorzosi and Eliza Marini claimed first place in the Master Class II Standard, with Japan’s Yasufumi and Miwa Tsubouchi finishing second and Ukraine’s Vitalii Erfan and Viktoria Zaprudska in third.

WDSF Open Youth Latin – The Highlight of the Day

The spotlight shone on the Youth Latin competition, where Germany’s Dimitrii Kalistov and Luna Maria Albanese triumphed in front of a passionate home crowd. This marks their seventh WDSF victory this year, including five Opens – with standout wins in Blackpool and Stuttgart – as well as both the European and World Championships. After earning silver at the GOC last year, their golden moment on home soil confirms them as one of the most promising couples of the new generation.

Spain’s Adria Hernandez and Emilija Ulcinaite, who had already secured bronze yesterday in the Youth Standard, climbed one step higher today to claim silver. Meanwhile, Denmark celebrated its first Youth Latin podium at the GOC, as Maddox Loevenhardt and Sara Coman secured an impressive third place.
