WDSF Varazdin City Trophy Showcases International Dance Excellence in Croatia

The city of Varazdin, Croatia, once again reaffirmed its status as a leading destination for DanceSport excellence by hosting the WDSF Varazdin City Trophy 2025 at the Sports Hall Graberje. The event brought together 533 athletes, including 345 dance couples and solo competitors, from 17 countries, reaffirming Varaždin’s reputation as a vibrant hub for DanceSport in Europe.

Unforgettable atmosphere

With an audience of around 700 spectators, the event offered a vibrant display of competitive energy and artistic expression that reflected the spirit of international DanceSport. The occasion welcomed representatives from the City of Varaždin, Varazdin County, the Tourist Board of Varaždin, and the Association of Sports Clubs of the City of Varaždin, together with numerous partners, donors, and sponsors whose ongoing commitment continues to elevate DanceSport’s profile across the region.

Neven Bosilj , Mayor of the city of Varazdin, commented:

“This year’s event gathers participants of all ages (…), making it the largest tournament so far in terms of the number of competitors. The City of Varazdin is proud to host this competition.”

Highlights of the Competition

The Saturday 18^th October was filled with exhilarating performances and intense competition across multiple categories. Dancers from across Europe showcased their technical skill, musicality, and stage presence, culminating in impressive podium finishes in both Standard and Latin disciplines, as well as in solo and rising star categories. Among the categories contested during the competition day we highlight:
