WDSF World Cup Standard Adult – A Final of Exceptional Quality

The highlight of Saturday’s programme came with the World Cup Standard Adult final, where six outstanding couples delivered a breathtaking display of technical precision, artistry, and competitive spirit. The Chengbei Gymnasium atmosphere was electric, as each routine combined athletic mastery with musical elegance, keeping the audience captivated until the very last note.

The gold medal went to Andrea Roccatti – Julia Mozdyniewicz (ITA), who confirmed their excellent form with yet another prestigious triumph this season. Their victory in Chengdu adds to an already impressive 2025 campaign, including wins in Montichiari and Cossirano, as well as a strong fifth place in Wuxi. Notably, they turned around their 6th place at The World Games in Chengdu last month, climbing to the very top of the podium in the same venue — proof of their consistency and resilience at the highest level.

In silver, Simonas Seikauskas – Liucija Norusaite (LTU) continued to prove themselves among the strongest contenders in the Standard field. Following a 7th place at the GrandSlam Stuttgart — narrowly missing the final — and another 7th at The World Games in Chengdu, this podium finish represents an important step forward and a reward for their perseverance. Their partnership blends technical clarity with expressive movement, making them one of the most exciting couples to watch in the months ahead.

For Vladislav Kozhevnikov – Eleonora Metelitsa (ISR), the bronze medal carried a special significance. After earning silver last year at the World Cup Ten Dance Adult in Platja d’Aro, the pair returned to the podium in a discipline where they continue to grow. Chengdu also brought back strong memories for them: they finished 9th here during The World Games in August, and their return now as medalists marks an inspiring progression.

The finalists were completed by Pawel Subczynski – Aleksandra Kucharska (POL) in fourth place, Karolis Burneikis – Fabien Charlott Lax (GER) in fifth, and Alexander Pavlov – Mie Udesen (DEN) in sixth, each contributing to a final of exceptional depth and quality. The blend of established champions and ambitious challengers confirmed why the World Cup remains one of the most eagerly anticipated titles in the WDSF calendar.
