Meet The Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games Athletes: B-Boy Lil Machine On Making Colombian Breaking History and Representing Latin America

Rooted in the essence of Bogotá, the Colombian B-Boy Lil Machine carries the pride of a continent as he prepares for one the biggest Breaking stages in the world.

Meet The Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games Athletes: B-Boy Lil Machine On Making Colombian Breaking History and Representing Latin America

Brayan Stiven Pérez Reinoso, known across the global Breaking scene as B-Boy Lil Machine, makes history by being the first-ever Colombian Breaker to secure a spot in the Youth Olympics; he will represent his country in just a couple of weeks at the 2026 Youth Olympic Games.

Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, B-Boy Lil Machine discovered Breaking at just 8 years old, inspired by his stepfather, a fellow professional dancer. Just six months later, he made his stage debut in a local cultural performance, marking the start of his artistic journey.

Commited with Colombia’s Breaking community, he is part of Los Extraditables, a competitive crew alongside seven other Breakers, and Family Skillz, a Breaking collective focused on events, shows, workshops, and promoting the culture as a whole.

Brayan’s movement is rooted in the day-to-day of a big city. He carries the distinct DNA of the Andean capital: a mix of relentless energy, streetwise instinct, diversity, and creativity.

“My roots lie in the *Bogotano* style, bold and street-smart, which reflects the essence of my city”, B-Boy Lil Machine shares.

Balance, Balance and More Balance

His competitive path began in 2019 within local circuits before advancing through six years of district and national competition. This steady progression earned him a spot on the national team and valuable international experience across Ecuador, Mexico, Portugal, and Slovenia.

Transitioning into high-level competitive Breaking brought its own trials: balancing an intensive training schedule under his coach Arturo Contreras (B-Boy Artur) with academic demands, all while preserving time to share with family and friends. For Brayan, the pursuit of self-improvement is anchored in a bigger purpose: representing Colombia on the international stage, a milestone he has already accomplished by being allocated for participating at the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar and being the only Latin American Athlete for Breaking in this year’s games, marking a historic breakthrough for his nation:

“What inspires me to keep going is my desire for self-improvement, to reach a major, large-scale event where I can proudly represent my country, giving the very best of myself and giving my full potential” – B-Boy Lil Machine.

Breaking As A Tool For Growth

Balancing the demands of daily life with a sports career for many seems near-impossible, yet for Brayan, Breaking serves as a vehicle for self-growth. Rather than viewing physical exhaustion and pressure as obstacles, he channels them into tools of personal development. Confronting these demands daily has allowed him to forge a disciplined and resilient mindset, strengthening his commitment to the dreams he carries onto the world Breaking stage.

Gratitude And A Message To The Breaking Community

Recognizing that his achievements are also collaborative, B-Boy Lil Machine expresses his profound gratitude to his support system, who have been crucial for navigating this journey:

“I am grateful to my support system for always being there for me. My family, coach, fellow athletes, my club, League, Federación Colombiana de Baile Deportivo, the Sports Institute (IDRD), Ministry of Sports, COC, and the WDSF for organizing competitions that made everything I am experiencing possible”. – B-Boy Lil Machine.

With his debut in the Olympic spotlight approaching, he steps onto the floor representing both Colombia and South America Breaking at large. With this, B-Boy Lil Machine leaves an enduring message for the young Breakers and next generations:

“Dreams come true through discipline” – B-Boy Lil Machine.
