2012 WDSF GrandSlam Final Standard

Melbourne, AUS | 2 December © Roland Two Standard couples from among the initially invited top 12 have also declined to dance in Shanghai, CHN, on Sunday 9 December. Sergei Konovaltsev - Olga Konovaltseva, RUS, and Daniil Ulanov- Irina Gogoladze, RUS, have been replaced by the couples ranked 13th and 14th in the 2012 WDSF GrandSlam Ranking Standard: Vaidotas Lacitis - Veronika Golodneva, LTU, and Salvatore Todaro - Violeta Yaneva, BUL.

Zhao Peng - Wang Qi are the wild card representing China in this finalissima on Sunday.

A majority of these couples came to Shanghai straight from their previous engagement: the 2012 WDSF World DanceSport Championship in Melbourne, AUS. It is the privilege of the best of the best to dance in two exceptional events back to back. The extra day of rest on Saturday will surely be appreciated, and it will bring the energy levels up for another main event in the couples' careers.
