Glad You Asked ...

Yes, we left it in the air until this very moment how the upcoming GrandSlam in Wuhan would be covered. You, the loyal followers of our blogs, come off a period of more than four years during which even the most elaborate coverage - from a single-camera shoot to a highly elaborate multi-camera television production - was made available to you at no charge whatsoever. All you had to do was turn to this site or the WDSF YouTube channel and you were able watch competitions such as a GrandSlam from beginning to end - and, most importantly, for free.

It is simply no longer possible to do this, to deploy up to six television professionals to where the premier WDSF events are staged and have quality coverage produced without generating revenues that help to cover expenditure. We described this in a number of posts last month.

In view of all of this, it should not come as a suprise that a considerable part of the coverage on this GrandSlam too will be available exclusively through the WDSF fee-based video-on-demand service. Here are the links to the Vimeo pages that offer semi-final and final.

Earlier rounds of both GrandSlams will be shown through the WDSF YouTube channel and with videos embedded here.

There is one caveat. In some countries, the VOD programmes may not be available for viewing because a broadcaster has been awarded exclusive rights. But then, that's good news. You should be able to watch them through this broadcaster.
