The rules for ShowDance have undergone a fair amount of reviewing over the past years and applying them rigorously is as difficult as it is to verify that they are applied rigorously. In that sense it makes sense that the altogether 20 couples - 11 Standard and 9 Latin - as well as the chairman and the invigilator spent the past eight hours doing just that.
Each couple had up to 15 minutes to rehearse, showing the entire routine at least once to Chairman Wolfgang Eliash and Invigilator Nenad Jeftic. The rehearsal was not open to the public, but then we don't count as public and were able to watch some of them. You will be in for a number of special treats tomorrow.
Artur Balandin - Anna Salita, GER, showed their routine "Love" and told us about it afterwards. As did the other 25! With the short on-camera presentation of each couple and the routine as performed in the finals tomorrow, we will produce a single one-hour programme on the 2017 World ShowDance for the "Best of DanceSport" series.
