As soon as we arrived in Vienna we stayed for a while by the check-in desk at the hotel. We of course met some of the couples who have arrived for the World Championship and we decided to let them do the talking.
It's a lovely buzz at the hotel, dancers, couples and their supporters greeting each other, sharing their latest stories and playing a real-life tetris at the elevators with their baggage. It is not easy to travel light for these athletes...
