Even before the final went underway, Gabriele Goffredo - Anna Matus, MDA, looked very confident to defend their hegemony in Latin here as well. It could be that they consider Stuttgart just another GrandSlam location by now. It's no longer the insurmountable challenge it used to be. Their first win in the Beethoven Hall dates back to August 2016. Their last defeat in a GrandSlam dates back much longer: to August 2015 - and Stuttgart.
They have made their peace with the GOC and seem as dominant here as everywhere else. Coming in first with 193.5 points in the 2017 edition made it their tenth consecutive GrandSlam win. Congratulations!
