They had struggled with making finals in major competition ever since the GrandSlam Helsinki in March, but the one on 9 September they made rather convincingly and went on to win it by a "landslide" of aslmost five points.
Runners-up were Konstantin Gorodilov - Dominika Bergmannova, EST, and Anton Aldaev - Natalia Polukhina, RUS. The two couples were separated by two decimal points in second and in third place - in the above order.
