Biggest Nationals Ever 28/01/2015

2015 Italian DanceSport Championships © FIDS When it comes to overall participation, the Italian Championships have long been a standout in DanceSport. But with a grand total of 2814 entries between the different disciplines and age groups that are contested over seven days this year at the Rimini Congress Halls, they should shatter records for Italian sports in general.

A 60% increase in participation over the 2014 edition makes an impressive statement about the growing popularity of DanceSport on the Apennine Peninsula.

The first part of the championships took place over the past weekend, from Friday to Sunday, and part two gets underway tomorrow. Among the championships scheduled on Saturday 31 January is the Adult Latin that could see the return to the floor of Aniello Langella together with his new partner Vera Bondareva.
