As the final notes faded away and the applause subsided, the young dancers stood proud, knowing that they had given their all and left everything on the dancefloor.

21/03/2024 read more ...Joan Cayuela, a Spanish trainer working on behalf of the World DanceSport Federation, held a series of lectures and workshops in the Bolivian capital La Paz. The objective was to educate local trainers and to raise the dancers' performance levels further.
20 trainers in Latin and 40 dancers in Standard attended his courses spread over a period of five days.
On Saturday 1 March, the dancers had then the opportunity to apply their newly acquired knowhow in the first DanceSport competition ever held in Bolivia. The number of entries was spectacular - as was the attendance by the general public.
The city's sporting authorities were present too. La Paz Sports Director Janet Ferrufino awarded the first medals to winners in DanceSport competition.
