Day One 21/07/2014

Vienna, AUT - 9 June © Courtier Shawn Tay, the WDSF General Secretary and Chairman of the DanceSport Academy, has ensured that an impressive line-up of experts will be at hand to lecture on topics that fall under the overall congress theme "Systematic Approach to Objective Judging."

As was the case last year already, the 2014 Congress in Stuttgart extends over three days, from 9 to 11 August, and deals with Judging System 2.1 as it is applied in different competitions.

The lectures on Saturday 9 focus on Formation and Showdance.

9 August 2014: Formation DanceSport and Showdance

12:05 p.m. - Judging Components and Criteria of Formation by MARKUS SONYI
01:20 p.m. - Judging Choreography and Presentation of Standard Formation by NORMAN BECK
02:35 p.m. - Break
02:45 p.m. - Judging Movement to Music of Latin Formation DanceSport by HORST BEER
04:00 p.m. - Judging Components and Criteria of ShowDance by TON GRETEN
05:15 p.m. - Break
05:30 p.m. - Distinctive Assessment Criteria of ShowDance by VICTOR NIKOVSKY
06:45 p.m. - End of Congress

The lecturers and their topics for day two (Standard Dances) and three (Latin Dances) will be announced tomorrow and on Wewdnesday.

Important to point out that participants may choose to attend one, two or all three days. Here are the fees

1 day CHF 100 (day 1) / EURO 85.-
2 days CHF 160 (day 2 and 3) / EURO 130.-
3 days CHF 200 / EURO 160.-
