29/01/2024 read more ...Four IDSF licensed judges from non-participating countries will act as a jury in this year's EDC. After each performance, each jury member awards the performance with 1 to 12 points - according to the Eurovision scale.
After all couples have performed, and before the televoting starts, the totals given by the jury will be converted into Eurovision-style points, whereas the highest ranked couple will receive the jury's 12 points, then 10 points, then 8 points and then all
the way down to 1 point.
Finally, the jury points will be multiplied by four, giving the jury vote the weight of 4 countries' votes in the total result. As soon as the jury votes have been given, it is up to viewers to cast their votes for their favorite couples and have their say
on who they believe should win the second EDC.
The four adjudicators - who have been selected for this task by the IDSF - are:
Gladys Tay (SIN)
Gladys Tay is a well-known Singapore dance celebrity. Gladys has won over twenty International Ballroom Dancing/DanceSport Championships titles, including two from England.
Barbara Nagode Ambroz (SLO)
Barbara was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia. After finishing grammar school, she studied pedagogy and Romanic languages at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. In her youth she also finished eight years of music school, playing the piano.
Michelle Ribas (FRA)
Michelle Ribas is a French dancer and dance coach. She was the French Amateur champion from 1976 to 1977 in the latin category, and semi-finalist in the Amateur European latin Cup in Denmark 1978.
Sven Trout (GER)
