IDSF Beodance 2009 02/10/2009

Avatar IDSF INTERNATIONAL OPEN LATIN AND STANDARD

It has been a great pleasure for me to have been present at this beautiful event. Providing excellent organization, Mr. Nenad Jeftić, together with the Dancesport Federation of Serbia, managed to organize a beautiful 10dance championship, and a great international competition, with an excellent panel of adjudicators. The couple Knežević Ivan & Zogović Milena, who won the championship, have demonstrated their technical knowledge and artistic value worthy of so important an amateur championship. Also in the Youth category a very good couple won, which I think has a great future – Lazareski Bojan and Ilić Sonja.

The IDSF Open competitions have had a very high level, and I must say that judging two finals at this level has not been easy. A lovely Slovenian couple won the Latin American dances, Jurij Batagelj and Jagoda Strukelj.  Their performance was very good, especially in the final where they were able to give their best.
She was very elegant and feminine, and he very powerful. A nice combination.

In the same category, the ballroom dances were won by another couple from Slovenia, Bussoletti Luca & Vulić Tjaša. They danced very well and showed both their technical and musical quality, while their choreography was very well maintained and effective.

In addition to these categories, even the Youth Standard and Youth Latin category has seen many beautiful couples.

The many country participants, beautiful scenery and lighting effects made it not seem like a normal dance competition, but have created a theatrical effect that has pleased the couples and all the spectators.

The national television broadcasted all the major competitions, and the good presentation of the master of the ceremony managed to keep the atmosphere alive in the public.
I think this is an event for inclusion in your calendar for the future.

My best compliments,

Pietro Braga
