2011 World Standard Formation © Roland The first batch of photographs taken by Helmut Roland during yesterday's World Formation Standard in Braunschweig, GER, are in the Gallery.

19 formations from 11 countries have entered the championship, 14 advanced to the semi-final, and 6 danced the final in a sold out Volkswagen Hall. It was past midnight when the panel of seven judges finallly held up their cards with the placing for each of the six formations. 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2 read those of the team Germany I, BTSC Braunschweig. Unanimuos decision - well, almost!

The final was broadcast live on German television, on ARD affiliate Norddeutscher Rundfunk NDR. The programme gets repeated at 13:30 CET today. Anyone in Europe with access to ASTRA should be able to watch. For those who cannot, WDSF Communications will start uploading Helmut's videos soon.
