Konstantin Gorodilov - Dominika Bergmannova, EST 21/02/2016

20 February - Copenhagen, DEN © Roland 27 couples from as many countries danced in yesterday's European Ten Dance at the Tivoli Congress Centre in Copenhagen, DEN.

When we talked about the favourites in a news item published prior to the Championship we made mention of the fact that Miha Vodicar - Nadiya Bychkova, SLO, would not compete to defend their title won last year in Megeve, FRA. But with Jaak Vainomaa - Taina Savikurki, FIN, there was one couple that had tasted victory in a European Ten Dance before: 2014 in Cambrils, ESP.

However, after eight rounds of dancing - alternating between Latin and Standard - the Finns found themselves in second place, 7.5 points down to the winners Konstantin Gorodilov - Dominika Bergmannova, EST. For the Estonian couple it was the first major championship title of their career.

Third place went to the Germans Dumitru Doga - Sarah Ertmer. There are many clips from the first two rounds available on the WDSF YouTube channel DanceSport Total.

More on the semi-final will go up there soon. The "Final Reel" will get released in a few days!
