Live from Salou, ESP 28/11/2011

XIII Spanish Open

Embedded in the XIII Spanish Open are two of the highlghts in this year's WDSF competition calendar.

Aside from the various World Championships, the World DanceSport Federation WDSF runs a six-leg event series under the brand Grand Slam in the two dance styles Latin and Standard. The 2011 series is about to culminate with the WDSF Grand Slam Finals.

Based on the results of the 2011 series events in Latin and Standard, the 24 best couples (12 per style) are invited to the Grand Slam Finals. This year they take place in Salou, Spain, a coastal resort near Barcelona, on 3 and 4 December. Under the tagline “Starry nights at the Golden Coast”, the Finals will have the world’s best DanceSport athletes contest the title of 2011 Grand Slam Champions.

WDSF will report extensively on the "Live from Salou" blog and provide live streams of the finals on 3 and 4 December there and on DanceSport Total, the WDSF YouTube channel.

With all the participating couples now confirmed, WDSF Communications releases the official brochure "THE FINALS 2011".
