Live And Up Close 23/10/2012

2012 GrandSlam Standard Beijing © RolandThe 2012 WDSF GrandSlam Standard Series took the top couples on a long journey around the globe already. Three regular GrandSlam Standard legs were held until now at different locations.

March: Tokyo, JPN

August: Stuttgart, GER

September: Beijing, CHN

Over the next 12 days, two more legs are scheduled to take place in Europe.

26 and 27 October: Moscow, RUS

4 November: Platja d’Aro, ESP

Only then, and based on their placing in at least three of the legs, the twelve best couples will be invited to the December GrandSlam Finals in Shanghai, CHN, where they contest the overall title for the year.

EurosportWDSF Communications has gone to considerable length in bringing you nearly real-time coverage on each of the legs so far through "Live from ..." blogs. A team will again be present in Moscow, RUS, to afford you a look at another GrandSlam Standard that is scheduled over two days due to the high number of entries. Only eight day later, WDSF will pull all the stops as it joins forces with the organisers of the GrandSlam Platja d'Aro in Spain and produces the fifth and final leg of the Series LIVE for (almost) worldwide television.

The first GrandSlam to be broadcast LIVE on the pan-European sports channel EUROSPORT | HD and on EUROSPORT ASIA will set the standards for the global exposure that the World DanceSport Federation and the organisers expect to secure for the GrandSlam Series in 2013. You better tune in - wherever you are in Europe or Asia!

Schedule

Sunday, 4 November 2012 | 18:00 - 20:00 UTC/GMT | EUROSPORT 1 | HD
