Open Source | Open Mind 20/11/2013

Marco Sietas and Olav Groehn © Roland The source codes of Judging System 2.0 and other resources including a Wiki have now been made available by their author Olav Groehn on bitbucket.org.

Seven months after the system was officially rolled out for the adjudicating of the first GrandSlam leg of 2013, the World DanceSport Federation and Olav provide National Member Bodies and software developers with the code on an OPEN SOURCE basis. System 2.0 can thus be put to a much broader use as well as be developed further by third parties.

Open Source WDSF puts Olav in charge of coordinating all such development and of monitoring that the terms of the GNU General Public Licence are respected.

WDSF and Olav invite others to contribute to this ambitious project that aims at improving the standards and procedures in the adjudication of DanceSport further. Olav can be contacted at [email protected].
