The King's Cup 04/08/2012

2012 Thailand Open - King's Cup © Goetz Today the WDSF World Open Standard takes place. We will see great dancing for sure. 75 couples! Among them: Benedetto Ferruggia - Claudia Koehler, GER,  and Emanuel Valeri - Tania Kehlet, DEN.

The Thailand DanceSport Federation and Mr Sittichai Preyadara on behalf of the Organising Committee gave a very warm and hearty welcome to all the couples and officials from 32 countries.

It was ten years ago when the Thailand Open  was established. For the past three year's, it has the great honour to be named "King's Cup" Thailand Open.  His Majesty King Bhumibol - a great sportsman himself - gave his name and patronage to the competition.

Last night there was a welcome reception on the Grand Chao Praya Cruise Grand Chao Praya Cruise Attire © Mary Yeh . The organisers dressed all participants in flowery coloured shirts. The couples enjoyed this friendly atmosphere and could experience Thai dancing.
