Welcoming Address 24/03/2016

WDSF President Lukas Hinder Easter on Catalonia’s Golden Coast is a permanent fixture in the annual calendar of the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF). For the tenth year running, some 2,000 dancers from around the globe come to Cambrils to take part in one of the many competitions scheduled as part of the D.O. World DanceSport over the long weekend.

For quite a few it’s their first days of the year away from the wintery cold that still prevails where they live. And for all of them it is another memorable participation in an event that has it all: perfect organisation, great atmosphere, a tourist infrastructure that excels in every respect – plus all the perks one gets from sharing the floor with the best in our sport.

I thank Antoni Mas of Publiolimpia and all others who make the D.O. World DanceSport happen for the tremendous effort they put in year after year. I congratulate our continental association DanceSport Europe under President Lluís Vañó for opting to stage its very first event ever in such a splendid setting. Above all, together with the entire WDSF Presidium, I salute the dancers, wishing them

Good Luck and Good Dancing!

Lukas Hinder
WDSF President
