Werner J. Braun Passed Away 28/06/2011

Werner J. Brown

Werner J. Brown, Germany,  passed away unexpectedly at the age of 84.

He dedicated his life to DanceSport. When the State Federation of Baden-Württemberg was established he was one of its founders and longtime President. For many years he cooperated with the German DanceSport Federation. He also served as Press Commissioner of IDSF until he retired in 2000.

One of his priorities was to bring dancers from  Eastern and Western European countries together and to foster international relations. In 1989 he organized an international team match between teams of the former USSR and Baden-Württemberg.

His work was appreciated and he was awarded by the German DanceSport Federation as well as the Government of Germany.

Our sympathies are with his family.
