2023 WDSF World Championship Show Dance Latin in Dresden Throughout the years, Show Dance Latin has been a great addition to the traditional Latin discipline. With some more artistic approach to music and storytelling, the Show Dance Latin couples create a routine which highlights the interpretation of music, story and the subtle complexity of nuances of the performance. All this combined with carefully selected and designed appearance and the world class athletes and couples creates one of the greatest spectacles of the DanceSport season.

November 11th, 2023 in Dresden (GER) marked the date and place for the long-time dream come true for multiple-time World and European Championship finalists Aka Modebadze – Gvantsa Tsikhelashvili (GEO). The couple excelled in writing their story with their beautiful dancing and it was rewarded with the 2023 WDSF World Championship Show Dance Latin title.

The moment of seeing the result on the screen dropped Aka on his knees while covering his face with his hands in front of the roaring spectators. After a short butemotional private moment on the floor it eventually changed to embracing his long-time couple Gvantsa on the floor. A beautiful ending to a spectacular achievement!

The runners-up, Vinzenz Doerlitz – Albena Daskalova (GER) and Kairat Algadaev – Julia Alexnadra Seleznyov (USA)earned the following places on the World Championship podium out of the twelve different, carefully choreographed and beautifully carried out performances of the day. The performances, which all received appreciation and applause from the well-versed spectators in Dresden.
