YouTraining DanceSport 03/02/2014

The WDSF Academy The WDSF DanceSport Academy is working to restablish the YouTraining DanceSport programme to the status quo - before the videos were removed from the public domain.

The videos will be made public again once the trainers and dancers who appear in them have been contacted by WDSF.

WDSF is confident that over the coming days the WDSF Academy channel will be completely restored.

We are grateful that quite a few YouTraining DanceSport regulars have expressed their approval of the concept in facebook comments and in messages sent to us. Here are just two.

And this is the side of the dance world I hate. Dancers should be encouraging the promotion of dance and the improvement of dancers everywhere, not believing that knowledge is to be held by a few elite at the top.Anyone who takes part in a smear campaign against people who are wanting to freely share their knowledge and experience with other dancers should be completely ashamed of themselves.

I hope in the future more will be done to promote the free sharing of information to dancers who want it and that this kind of elitist attitude will be left behind. And for those that think this sort of thing will damage the ability of teachers to make money or anything like that, rubbish! Online lectures are helpful for private study and practice away from your normal lessons, they give you information to think about and then discuss with your teachers in your lessons.I could go on but should probably stop my ranting there.

I'm sorry to hear that because the videos were fantastic and I loved watching them and learnt a lot. It is great to have such a resource available to dancers especially in areas where tuition is not readily available. Good luck in sorting this out and thank you for the videos so far.
